How to Take a Screenshot on Windows 11

Taking a screenshot on a Windows 11 computer is a simple and quick process that allows you to capture an image of your computer’s screen. There are several methods you can use to take a screenshot on a Windows 11 computer, and in this article, we will cover all of them in detail.

  1. Using the Print Screen (PrtScn) button

One of the easiest and quickest ways to take a screenshot on a Windows 11 computer is to use the Print Screen (PrtScn) button. This button is typically located on the top row of your keyboard, between the F12 and Scroll Lock keys.

To take a screenshot of your entire screen, simply press the PrtScn button. The screenshot will be saved to your clipboard, which you can then paste into an image editing program or document.

To take a screenshot of just one window, first, click on the window you want to capture. Then, press Alt + PrtScn. This will save a screenshot of just the active window to your clipboard.

  1. Using the Snipping Tool

Another way to take a screenshot on a Windows 11 computer is to use the Snipping Tool. This tool is a built-in utility that allows you to capture specific parts of your screen, rather than the entire screen or a single window.
